Les artistes Marylène Negro et Klaus Sherübel ont été invités à faire une étude pour la zone des consultations de l’hôpital Bretonneau. Ils ont considéré cette zone comme un lieu à caractère public et ouvert sur la ville. Leur proposition emprunte les caractéristiques d’une rue : un lieu de co-présence fondé sur la déambulation. Leur proposition porte essentiellement sur le plafond et sur le sol : une voie lumineuse zénithale sous forme de verrière et un sol en linoléum uni et neutre, assorti au bois naturel des plinthes, lisses de protection et des rampes conçues selon les normes en vigueur. La proposition renvoie directement à l’idée de passage et à celle de l’espace extérieur.

Marylène Negro and Klaus Sherübel – Bretonneau Hospital, Paris, 18th arrondissement

Artists Marylène Negro and Klaus Sherübel have been invited to produce a study for the consulting room of the Bretonneau hospital. The artists considered this zone as a public space and opened it to the city. This proposal is inspired from the street characteristics (i.e. a space of joint presence based on wandering). Their proposal is essentially concentrated on the ceiling and the floor: a zenithal ray of light, like a stained glass window; it is coupled with a self-colored and neutral floor in linoleum. It is associated with the natural plinth in wood and some handrails made according to the safety standards. The proposal refers directly to the idea of passage and to the outside space.
